History, myth, mountains, and magic. These are the cornerstones of my personality.

The call to adventure has long been a guiding force for me. Between the books I devoured growing up and childhood visits to the National Parks, I grew to have a sort of wanderlust that now manifests both on and off the page. I love writing journey stories, just as I love chasing them in real life—outside the pages of a book, travel is my happy place.

My novels Forestborn and Wildbound are two installments in a fantasy duology that tells a story of danger, damage, and hardship, but also friendship, growth, and hope. Prior to pivoting to the author side of the desk, I worked as an editor at Macmillan for five years, in the heart of New York City’s Flatiron District. There, I was lucky to work with writers and fellow editors who were as intrigued as I am by the magical and the twisted. (Also, you know, cats.)

I hold a BA in Classics and History from Vassar College, a liberal arts school of scholars and creatives in New York’s Hudson Valley, and an MSc in Professional Communication from the University of Aberdeen, a historic university on Scotland’s northeastern coast. I have also spent four transformative months at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome, during which I traveled across Italy studying the ancient marks that humans leave and the stories imbedded in old stone.

Always, I welcome new storytelling projects and experiences that center on character development and growth, perseverance in the face of adversity, the natural world, and turning points in human history.
